Ken Cruz is one of my all-time favorite Diary readers. (Except for you, of course.) Ken has been hanging out around these parts for a long time. He finds encouragement in Brooke’s stories and he turns it into faith that his beautiful daughter will find her way too. And then he gives that faith right back. Nifty, that.

A couple of weeks ago, Ken invited me to a virtual event that he had created in honor of his Uncle Vic, who passed away two years ago. The story, and what Ken chose to do in the face of unthinkable tragedy, caught my heart. I can think of no more appropriate way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to help Ken spread love in Vic’s honor.
